Join us the first Saturday of the month in
Montrose High Street
The next Montrose market will be on 3rd March 2012!
One of the best seasonal vegetables available at the moment is the vitamin packed super food kale. Kale not only tastes good but is easy to prepare and can be used just by chopping up and added to soups and stews or you can try it sautéed with chilli and garlic and served simply with pasta tossed in olive oil. Impress your special other half with a romantic meal for two there is plenty of choice for the budding chef from the quality meats, delicious seafood or tasty game. For your starter you could have a warm salad made with delicious pheasant or partridge breasts and for your main course organic Highland beef from Borland Farm or succulent pork from Puddledub pork . To finish you can visit the Devenick Dairy stall there you will find the most delicious cheesecake and a fantastic choice for the cheeseboard, Storm cakes can also tempt you with some sticky toffee pudding or banoffee pie. If you are part of a local musical or drama group why not attend the market to promote your events email Carol at angusfarmersmarket@gmail.com or carolrobbie@hotmail.co.uk |
